What To Expect on a Beauty School Tour?

Are you passionate about beauty? Is beauty school your ideal future career? If you want more information and answers to your questions, the first step is booking a tour! At Artistic Nails & Beauty Academy, we have locations in Lakeland and Tampa and tours are available at both. Find out what to expect on a tour and see if a future in beauty might be right for you!

What Should You Bring?

We recommend bringing a pen and paper so you can record the things you enjoy about the school. You’ll want to write down questions you have, programs you want to explore, and any pros and cons you have about the school you’re touring. This will allow you to better reflect on your visit and help you make the best decision for your future.

As a tour can include a lot of new information and may feel overwhelming, we also highly recommend bringing a family member or friend. Before your tour, review your questions with them so they can be an active listener and help you remember any questions you might have! A friend or family member can also provide valuable moral support and help you feel confident in a new environment.

What You’ll See & Who You’ll Meet

During a tour, you are able to get an inside look at our daily student life. You can expect to see classrooms, our student salon, and depending on the location, the skin care room and/or nail specialist area.

Observing current students is an important part of the tour process and might help you get a better understanding of our student culture. Picture yourself as one of the students to help decide if this is the right school for you!

In addition to observing student life, you’ll have the chance to meet instructors at our school. Take a moment to get to know them, ask for their names and specialities, and allow them to answer any questions you have. They were once prospective students too, so they probably know how you’re feeling!

Our instructors are trained to provide strong educational and professional assistance to our students to help them be successful. The success of our students reflects directly on our instructors, so utilize your time meeting them and ask any questions you might have.

A tour will also allow you to meet with an admissions representative. They can discuss your background and future aspirations with you. Any questions about admissions requirements, scheduling or financial aid* can be discussed with them. While instructors are happy to answer questions about programs, an admissions representative can review more specific questions with you.

Questions to Ask

While you probably have questions already, let us help you with additional questions so you can get the most out of your tour! You may want to consider these:

  • What is the cost of tuition?
  • Are supplies included in tuition, and if not, what is the cost of those?
  • How long is each program?
  • What qualifications do I need to apply?
  • Do you offer job assistance after graduation?
  • What schedule options are there?
  • Why should I choose Artistic over other schools?
  • What financial aid options are there?

As we recommended before, write down the questions you have and if you’re bringing a friend, review your questions with them! We want you to get the most amount of information you can during a tour. Your time is important and we know that pursuing a new career can be a lot to think about.

What’s the Next Step?

We offer a variety of programs, so you might want to start by reviewing those and seeing which one may be right for you. We know how important it is for our students to do work they’re passionate about, so take time to get familiar with the programs and explore all of them during your tour. Take a look at the programs we offer and assemble some specific questions you have based on what you’re interested in.

Find Out How Prepared You Are!

Take our quiz to see how prepared you are for school, and decide what’s the next step to take depending on how ready you are. Whether you’re ready to start tomorrow or need time to think, book a tour and talk to our admissions representatives to see if beauty school might be right for you.

*Financial aid is available to those who qualify.
